I was surprised with my experience here. All the reviews led me here but I found the food to be sub par. The pizza was far from the best I've had. It reminded me of a frozen pizza. The breading on the calamari was tasty but the calamari itself was not good. They also do not take credit or debit so you need cash.

I having been meaning to write a review for years. I grew up on the east side of Manhattan. I have always searched far and wide for really good pizza by the slice in CT. I have to say Portobello is the best BY FAR. Thin, crispy slices. Nothing fancy (unless you ask) and just good ingredients, perfect balance of cheese and sauce. Buffalo chicken pizza is to die for! Run don't walk to get your pizza here. Customer service is awesome. The owner is a true gentlemen.
