I took my mini poodle Lucy to Petco on Federal Road in Brookfield for the first time last week for a bath and trim. She is only 3 years old and very sweet and very shy. I decided to wait for her...they took her in the back so I did not see her. I waited over an hour for her to come out for the groomer to blow her dry and trim her nails in front of me. While I was waiting I noticed all the dogs coming and going and I asked where my dog was and they said she would be out shortly. The next day I went to pet the top of her head and noticed that she had a gash that was two and a half inches long and a quarter of an inch wide. It had a brown scab on it. There was absolutely no way that this happened with me. I took her to the vet who told me that they must have cauterized it which is why there was such a scab on it. When I went to speak to the groomer he did not deny that something happened. I am so Furious that they had the nerve to try to conceal that they hurt my dog, my poor little baby could not speak up for herself and God only knows how painful it was. They went out of their way to clean her up and try to conceal what they did ...she's white and no traces of blood anywhere on her head or body. Thankfully she's okay but God only knows how many other times this has happened and they've tried to cover it up. I was sitting there the entire time and asked him where she was and they had the nerve to not tell me. I would not go back there if they paid me and then by the way they did charge me for the services! Shame on them!
I don't have a pet but I go here often enough with my friends that do. They have small animals for sale as well as supplies for mostly all common house pets. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and prices are decent as well.
The staff knows alot about the animals they have. The inventory it great. It is the nearest and best place for me to get mice for my snake. Many of the prices are great.
Very helpful, staff knowledgeable, good selection of salt water fish.
I go here for my pitbull that I just recently got as a rescue about 2 months back and this store is amazing from the good food and toys 2 the great ppl who work there makes it so enjoyable
